Cruise and yacht shore services in the Netherlands

You look after the vessel. We take care of everything that happens once your guests and crew step ashore.

ZOYO Luxury is neither a shipping agent nor a yacht agent. We do not clear vessels, arrange bunkering or board ships uninvited. Our work begins at the bottom of the gangway. We take care of the transport, the guides, the reservations, the timings and the countless details that make a visit run smoothly. When plans change, there is someone on the ground who deals with it immediately.

This is the same service we have provided for years to incoming tour operators. The clients are different. The work is the same.

Three ports, and why they matter more than ever

Ocean cruise ships currently call at three major Dutch ports: Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, Cruise Terminal Rotterdam and Felison Cruise Terminal in IJmuiden. For 2026, almost two hundred ocean cruise calls are scheduled across these locations.

Where your vessel berths now shapes the entire day.

Passenger terminal Amsterdam

Located just a ten-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station, Passenger Terminal Amsterdam remains one of Europe’s best-positioned cruise terminals. Most vessels remain alongside for eight to twelve hours, giving guests excellent access to the city centre.

Since January 2026, Amsterdam has limited the number of ocean cruise calls to approximately one hundred per year, down from around one hundred and ninety previously. Only one sea cruise vessel is permitted to berth each day. Shore power has already been installed and will become mandatory from 2027 onwards. The municipality also intends to relocate the cruise terminal away from the IJ waterfront before 2035, although the final location and budget are still under discussion.

Felison cruise terminal, IJmuiden

Felison Cruise Terminal accommodates ocean vessels up to 295 metres in length and is located approximately forty-five to sixty minutes from Amsterdam by road.

As Amsterdam’s cruise restrictions take effect, an increasing number of large cruise ships are expected to berth in IJmuiden, making it an increasingly important gateway to the Dutch capital.

Cruise terminal Rotterdam

Rotterdam has agreed to welcome a significant number of cruise ships that can no longer berth in Amsterdam. The city offers an attractive destination in its own right while also serving as an excellent starting point for excursions throughout the Netherlands.

River cruising is following a similar trend. Amsterdam recorded approximately 1,950 river cruise calls in 2024 and plans to reduce this number to around 1,150 annually from 2028 onwards.

Policies continue to evolve as municipalities adjust their cruise strategies. We monitor these developments continuously, allowing our partners to plan future seasons with confidence instead of relying on outdated information.

What we arrange ashore

Whether you require a simple transfer or a fully tailored itinerary, we coordinate every detail on land.

  • Private luxury cars, executive minivans and professional chauffeurs waiting exactly where and when you need them.
  • Experienced guides speaking English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish and Italian.
  • Museum and gallery access, including exclusive entry outside public opening hours where available.
  • Restaurant reservations ranging from charming local establishments to Michelin-starred restaurants.
  • Private canal cruises instead of shared departures.
  • Exclusive workshops and private visits with local artisans.
  • Accessible transport and carefully planned routes for guests with reduced mobility.
  • Airport transfers to and from Schiphol, Rotterdam The Hague Airport and regional airports for crew changes or joining guests.
  • A dedicated local contact throughout the entire port call, available whenever assistance is required.

Superyacht visits and shipyard projects

The Netherlands is unique. It is not only one of Europe’s leading destinations for visiting superyachts, but also home to some of the world’s most respected yacht builders.

The Port of Amsterdam actively welcomes superyachts. Premium berths are available in the city centre, including alongside the National Maritime Museum and Passenger Terminal Amsterdam. The port offers a tidal-free environment, helicopter facilities and fast connections to Schiphol Airport. Refit and maintenance services are available within the port area.

Beyond Amsterdam, the Netherlands is home to internationally recognised shipyards such as Feadship, Oceanco, Damen Yachting, Heesen, Royal Huisman, Royal Hakvoort and Vitters. Owners, brokers, captains and project teams visit these locations for new builds, sea trials, deliveries and refit projects that often last several weeks or even months.

We do not advise on the technical side of these projects. Instead, we look after everything surrounding them. Hotels, executive transport, family arrangements, restaurant reservations, private experiences and those unexpected requests that inevitably arise during a long stay. It may not be glamorous work, but it is precisely what makes life easier for teams spending weeks away from home.

The same principle for incoming tour operators

If you are an incoming tour operator, a destination management company or a travel advisor arranging programmes in the Netherlands, our role remains exactly the same. You manage the client relationship. We manage everything on the ground.

You send us the brief, the schedule and your client’s expectations. We return a carefully planned programme with one point of contact and one clear quotation. Throughout the entire journey, your brand remains front and centre. We work discreetly behind the scenes, ensuring your clients receive a seamless experience while your company stays in the spotlight.

Whether it is a VIP city programme, executive transport, private dining, museum access or a last-minute request, our job is to make your work easier and your clients happier.

Why partners choose ZOYO Luxury

We understand that every request is different. Some clients arrive with a detailed itinerary. Others simply know when they arrive and when they depart. Either way, we build every programme around the available time, the client’s interests and the level of service expected.

Our network has been built over many years and includes trusted chauffeurs, experienced guides, exceptional restaurants, exclusive venues and carefully selected local partners throughout the Netherlands.

We believe luxury is not defined by extravagance. It is defined by flawless organisation, flexibility and attention to detail. The fewer problems your guests notice, the better we have done our job.

Practical questions

Are you a shipping agent or a yacht agent?

No. We are not trying to replace your shipping or yacht agent. Our role begins once guests or crew come ashore. We work alongside your existing partners and focus entirely on the experience and logistics on land.

How much notice do you need?

The earlier, the better, especially for private guides, Michelin-starred restaurants and exclusive venues. That said, last-minute requests are a normal part of our business. Whenever possible, we will always do our best to accommodate them.

What happens if the vessel arrives late, changes port or the call is cancelled?

Before every assignment, we confirm the arrangements in writing. This allows everyone involved to understand exactly what has been agreed, helping to avoid unnecessary discussions if plans change unexpectedly.

Do you work with standard excursion packages?

No.

Every itinerary is created around the available time, the size of the party and the client’s specific wishes. No two programmes are exactly alike.

What size groups do you accommodate?

Our focus is on private travellers, VIP guests and small groups. We are not a mass excursion operator, and we prefer to be transparent about that from the start.

Do you also arrange services for crew members?

Yes.

In addition to guest programmes, we can organise practical transport, airport transfers and local support for crew members whenever required.

Which ports and locations do you cover?

We regularly operate in Amsterdam, IJmuiden, Rotterdam and Scheveningen, as well as the major Dutch shipyard locations. We also arrange services throughout the Netherlands wherever a comfortable journey fits within your available schedule.
